She was born and raised in Germany

and has lived in five countries of four different continents.

The multi-culture in her veins inspires the stories in her ink

and shapes the soul of her sound;

a multifaceted collage of Afro-Soul and electronic elements.

With a loop station, synthesizer and sampler, she creates an unforgettable one-woman live show.

New to most ears, yet familiar to most souls.

She has documented her journey of life, love and learning in two digital EPs.

Her debut LP titled “room in a room” is an audio-visual album

discussing the human experience from a blackAfrican female's perspective and her debut album "room in a room".

Her upcoming album is dedicated to her parents.

It addresses their story of migration,

life between two cultures

and the challenges that often remain unspoken.

Founders betina quest and Eli A Free embrace the mission to help level up Ghana’s music ecosystem so it can adequately serve upcoming talents.

Since their first outing at re:publica Accra in 2018 abantu+ has facilitated various programs, residencies, music sessions and gatherings.
